Treating Candida
What is Candida?
Candida is a single celled yeast that inhabits both the internal and external surfaces of the body. 90% of babies are born with it and it resides in the mouth, nose, intestines, genital tract and throat of most adults. Usually the yeast is kept under control by the immune system. However, in certain circumstances i.e. following the use of antibiotics, steroids, the pill, HRT, prolonged exposure to environmental moulds, a diet high in sugar and refined carbohydrates or poorly controlled diabetes, it can become pathogenic.
Candida Symptoms
A variety of symptoms can result from an overgrowth of candida, including:- bloating, nausea, skin problems, sinusitis, cystitis, thrush, fatigue, PMS, headaches, joint pains and stiffness, hypoglycaemia, cravings for sugary foods and alcohol and food and chemical sensitivities. Candida can also be the cause of psychological complaints such as depression, anxiety and lack of concentration.
Bioresonance Anti-Candida Therapy
Candida can sometimes be difficult to flush out as it attaches itself to the walls of the bowel and it is therefore necessary to take a multi-pronged approach to eliminate it as far as possible. At least two Bioresonance treatments are recommended, followed by a detoxification treatment to ensure that toxins from the “die off” are quickly eliminated from the body. Herbal products are usually used at this stage to speed up the detoxification process. It is also very important to follow a sugar free and yeast free diet for at least three months.
After commencing the anti candida regime, it is necessary to supplement your diet with probiotics (lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacterium bifidum). These are taken in order to establish a “friendly” colony of intestinal bacteria.
