The Worst Non-smoker
Joanne Reckons She Is The Worst Non-smoker
Joanne Trott is 38 years old and is married with 3 children. She works for her local council as a housing officer.
I started smoking at school, when I was 14 and for the last 24 years I’ve smoked about 20 cigarettes a day. I suppose I smoked mainly for relaxation.
Eventually I realised that I wasn’t really enjoying smoking any more so I decided to stop. My husband doesn’t smoke and I think he really wanted me to stop as well. Sometimes I would light up a cigarette without really wanting it. It’s a waste of money not to smoke it after lighting it but as I was not really enjoying it at the time, it seemed a bit pointless.
I tried to stop smoking by sending off for a spray that I sent for from one of the national papers. It is called an SOS to stamp out smoking and you use it as a mouthwash in the morning and when you feel the need to smoke you just spray it in your mouth. The taste was just disgusting so I didn’t really want to use it much. It didn’t work though.
When I first heard about the END smoking treatment I phoned the clinic and they explained the procedure to me and it was a bit of the unknown. I know people who’ve used hypnosis and that’s worked for them, so I thought this is something new, it’s just worth a go. I thought anything was credible but really my expectations weren’t high.
When I arrived for the treatment I chatted to the therapist while I was holding onto two brass electrodes. I then had my last cigarette that I half smoked and all of the burnt ash, plus the un-smoked part of the cigarette and my last exhalation of smoke were all placed in a glass bottle and a lid sealed on. This bottle was connected to a machine which measured the frequencies of the contents and relayed these treated frequencies back to me though another brass electrode. We discussed why I smoked and when I smoked the most and I found it interesting to sit and talk about my smoking habits as I started to realise the moments when I was most likely to struggle. For example, I became aware that for me, the evening was the time when I sat down and smoked, so it was then that the cravings might be strongest. During the treatment I felt a tingling in one of my wrists. Apart from that I didn’t notice any sensations.
At the end of the treatment the therapist gave me a tincture which was a homeopathic copy of the treatment I’d just received. I drove back to work afterwards and didn’t really notice anything different.
However, a couple of days later I noticed my tastes were changing. One evening we went for our usual curry and I thought that it tasted different somehow. I thought perhaps they must have changed the recipe or cooked it differently. I also became a bit of a nightmare at home because as soon as I came in I could smell smoke on everything. My curtains had to come down and be cleaned and if my son smoked anywhere I noticed immediately. My sense of smell became heightened and I noticed various smells but mostly cigarette smoke, which really offended me.
The urge to smoke just seemed to go away. The only side affect I found was that I became quite fidgety, particularly with my hands. I just couldn’t think what to do you do with my hands. I had an inner sort of nervous tick, which was like a mild jolt in my body, and this lasted for about a week. The other thing was that at night I became convinced that there were crumbs in my bed (of course there weren’t any) and I was getting up in the middle of the night to wipe them off the bed. My husband was so sweet, he just helped me do it, even though he knew there were no crumbs but he supported me going through the motions. I had no withdrawal from the nicotine though.
Looking back, the thing that surprised me the most about the END smoking treatment was that very shortly afterwards I could go out with friends who smoked or be with my mum while she smoked and it wouldn’t bother me. I didn’t get any cravings at all. The day after the treatment we went out for an Indian meal and I sat next to my son in the smoking part of the restaurant whilst my son smoked and it had no affect on me whatsoever. This was a real surprise as I thought I would not be able to be around smokers.
If I hadn’t had the treatment I know I would still be smoking today.
I am now the worst non-smoker you have ever come across but apart from that I would and do recommend the treatment. A short while ago I saw a complete stranger with a leaflet from Energy Medicine and I went up and told them about it, I think it’s brilliant.
The treatment used by Joanne is referred to as energetic medicine, also sometimes called bioresonance. All cells in living matter have electromagnetic frequencies associated with them. The toxins and nicotine from cigarettes also have unique (pathogenic) electromagnetic frequencies that identify them, and which stress the body field (the electromagnetic imprint of the body). Sensitive bio-electronic equipment detects the electromagnetic frequencies of both the nicotine and chemical pathogens, processes them to create mirror image frequencies and return them to the body as a pattern of destructive interference. The returned (mirror image) frequencies cancel the harmful pathogenic electromagnetic frequencies that are present in the body from the smoking habit.
The removal of these harmful frequencies allows the body to start its natural healing process, which smokers experience as de-toxing and removal of the nicotine craving together with the return of smell and taste.
Bioresonance, as a method to eliminate nicotine dependency started in 2002. New technology, developed in the USA and Germany has significantly improved the equipment since then, when success rates were reported to be running at about 85%.
According to David Bacon of Energy Medicine, the majority
of clients who give up smoking by this method only
require one treatment.
